Hognose Wiki

Bred a world-first morph? Add it to the list and credit yourself as the creator. Looking for a breeder in your country? There’s an opt-in breeder’s directory begging to be filled. What the heck is an extreme red line paradox purple haze superconda? I don’t know, but Hognose Wiki does.

Since there doesn’t seem to be one, I’ve put together this Wiki framework as the starting point for a centralized resource for hognose info and morphs, including a photo reference library that anyone can submit images to.

The current focus is getting pictures added (by you!), but the eventual goal is to populate it with morph history, husbandry, care sheets, feeding tips, etc. With a bit of internet know-how, ANYONE can edit this wiki; this is a true community resource that I hope people will take advantage of and build together. It is infinitely expandable and free.

Right now, what the Wiki needs more than anything is photos to fill the morph galleries. Photos are EASY to add, and there is a step-by-step guide on how to do so from your desktop here: Photoguide

If you think you’ll use this Wiki, please consider taking a few minutes to read the guide and post some pics. Breeders are encouraged to credit themselves on all photos of animals produced, because who doesn’t like free advertising.

I know I’ve missed some morphs, there may be typos, and if you have a killer idea for a page that needs to be here ASAP, I just may add it-- drop your idea in the Suggestion Box.

Besides this, my work on the Wiki is “complete” until I see that it is or isn’t being used. I’m happy to continue to add more pages, templates, and guides if people are getting mileage out of it. This is an experiment for me, too, and takes a non-zero amount of time to set up. I can also “deputize” mods who feel comfortable editing or writing accurate content.

Hope y’all like it!
